Cookie policy
Last updated 9 October 2026.
This is a working draft for the Cafewaala beta and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before launch.
1. Our approach
The public site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. That's why there is no cookie banner.
2. Strictly necessary
A secure session cookie is used only in the private admin area to keep editors signed in.
3. Third-party embeds
YouTube videos load only after you press play, using youtube-nocookie.com. Map embeds come from OpenStreetMap.
4. Analytics
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
5. If this changes
If we ever add cookies that aren't strictly necessary, we will update this page and ask for consent first.
